When choosing new styles we always work hard to keep real brides in mind, what are you really asking for? What do you keep showing us on pintrest?
A couple of weeks ago Emma Louise Bridal headed to The Harrogate Bridal Show. Here’s what we got up to…
Our first stop was Dando London, where we fell in love with Christine Dando’s latest collection ‘Passion’. We knew our brides would adore these dresses as much as us. We selected some breathtaking gowns for the modern bride. It was also great catching up with the girls from ‘Say Yes To The Dress UK’.
Fast forward through lunch (which included a cheeky glass of wine) we visited Ivory and Co, who designs our accessories and some of our bridal gowns. There were some exquisite dresses, everything is made from beautiful silks, laces and chiffons for soft feminine textures.
The thing we love most about Ivory and Co is the brides are able to completely bespoke their look. We also get to work very closely with Sarah, the designer, she is so passionate about her designs and pays close attention to what brides are asking for and translates this into the gowns she creates – she really has her finger on the pulse of bridal fashion! We went back the next day to stock up on accessories…
As always we were spoilt for choice when we visited Stella York. They showcased a wide variety of shapes and styles, something for every bride no matter what style they wanted. We picked a variety of glamorous mermaid gowns, sparkling A-lines in soft fabrics and something a little bit different – our future brides are in for a treat when these gowns arrive!
And finally we are so excited to announce that we have welcomed La Sposa back to Emma Louise Bridal! When we visited their stand we were amazed with all the different wedding dresses…each gown added something completely different to our existing collection. We are so excited to work with them again and cannot wait for these stunning gowns to arrive.
One of the best things about the weekend was that we were choosing all these new gowns for our new premises. We have some many thrilling things in store for the future and we cannot wait for all our lovely brides to experience the boutique. Emma’s husband Dave (along with decorators, carpenters, plumbers etc) is currently busy transforming it into our little piece of bridalwear heaven! Make sure you follow us on instagram to see what we’re getting up to. An official moving date will be announced soon, eeek!
