As so many brides will know planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful things you can do. One of the things that can help ease this process is to choose the best suppliers!
Already working in the wedding industry did have it’s advantages when it came to planning my own wedding. A lot of names were already very familiar and by constantly speaking to other brides I was able soon work out which suppliers were most popular and therefore amazing at what they do!
Choosing a wedding venue was probably the hardest decision we have faced so far. Originally we wanted a church ceremony but when looking for reception venues something just wasn’t working.
It was my other half who actually suggested going to look at Beeston Manor – why I hadn’t already thought of it I don’t know! Around the same time we booked to view Beeston Manor we had started to consider a civil ceremony. When I walked into the Oakland Room (where the civil ceremonies are held) I instantly knew this was the room I wanted to get married in! A feeling I didn’t expect to have but couldn’t argue with.
After finding the venue everything else really did fall into place. One of my best friends recommended me to AM Flowers as she had them for her wedding. When me and my fiance went to meet with Angela she was so easy to get along with and extremely knowledgable. She patiently listened to our ideas and understood our vision perfectly.
Emma recommended me to DFC Lancashire. A wedding DJ was a very important element we wanted to get right. Everyone remembers whether they had a good time at a wedding and DFC certainly know how to get a party started!
Another suggestion from Emma was Bridal hair by Sam Gateley. After recently meeting her at the Great Northern Wedding Awards I instantly loved her personality and knew she would be the perfect presence for the morning of the wedding! Her Instagram page speaks for itself about how fantastic her skills are.
Last but certainly not least the wedding photographer. Another vital element to the wedding as photos are one of the few things from the big day that last. We met Project Valentine at a wedding fair at Beeston Manor. His natural modern style was exactly what we were looking for and his photos are fun, light hearted and full of emotion all at once. Jack’s calm and easy to get along with nature made us know he would fit in perfectly at the wedding and capture those all important moments perfectly. With over a year until the big day I already cannot wait to see how amazing our photos will be!
We’re very lucky to have found such amazing suppliers to help bring our wedding to life. Working in the industry helps as a lot of wedding businesses were already familiar to me but were still going into the blind not knowing what to expect. Every single supplier has been informative and instilled us with confidence.
All suppliers details can be found below for any brides and grooms planning their own wedding. All suppliers have websites, Facebook and Instagram pages so you can see for yourself how amazing they all are!

Another fantastic way to search out the best of the best is through Little White Books. They work with the North Wests leading wedding suppliers. Brides have often said to us the suppliers they find through Little White Books are the most professional, reliable people involved in their wedding.
A huge shout out to all suppliers mentioned in this post as they have all recently won incredible awards at the Great Northern Wedding Awards 2019! We were lucky enough to be awarded Highly Commended for Best Bridalwear Retailer – without all of our incredible brides that would not have been possible – thank you so much! x
