My proposal story

My husband proposed to me in the kitchen of our home after cooking us a beautiful dinner by candlelight. It was the perfect private proposal.

 

Wedding style

April fools day 2023, Bolholt Country Park Hotel, Bury. No real theme the tables were the names of Kings and Queens and I used flowers that I like rather than stick to a theme.

Exciting, surreal and special.

 

How did you choose 'The One'?

My eldest daughter became emotional and I knew it was the one when this happened.

 

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

It was a lovely experience with all the special ladies in my life. I loved trying on the dresses. There was so much to choose from.

 

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

My two children having a role in the ceremony. My eldest daughter sang and my youngest daughter gave a speech. My dad seeing me for the first time and bursting into tears. My first dance with my husband.

 

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

Not yet Were hoping to get a few nights away camping in our tiny two man tent!

 

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Just enjoy it. I felt relaxed the whole way through. When you have lots of expectations of how your wedding day will go, things could go wrong. I had no expectations and I let others plan parts which made it feel so special and lots of things throughout the day were a surprise.
