My proposal story
Neil, he proposed on top of a mountain in the lakes where it was just us and our dog. It was just perfect and I cried!
Wedding style
Venue was Larchfield Estate in Lisburn, Northern Ireland on 27th July. It was so elegant and we had the ceremony outside in their beautiful gardens.
Shopping experience
Honestly this was the easiest part! I came with both mums and my Made Of Honour, and I think I only tried 6 dresses before finding the one! Thanks the Hattie for making it so easy!!
How did you choose 'The One'?
I had actually seen the dress on your website and had it on my shortlist, but I didnt know when I tried it. I knew I wanted a simple front and elegant back, although I didnt think Id have such a long train, but she was just so beautiful when I put her on. I had to come back a second day as I couldnt choose between 2, but as soon as I tried her on again I just knew!
Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal
I was so nervous incase I didnt like any dresses but Hattie made it so easy. She listened to what I wanted and didnt want and I could have bought any of the dresses I tried. The viewing rooms are great with plenty of room for the bridal party and the fizz was a nice touch too!
What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?
I cant honestly choose, the day was so perfect. Having the ceremony outside (a miracle for Northern Ireland!) was so special, the venue was dressed even better than we imagined. I loved walking down the aisle as the new Mr & Mrs Cooke. The food was amazing! I made our cake so that was so special to see it in the room. We learned to dance and we practiced in the garden after dinner so that was really cute, plus we didnt mess up for the real thing!
If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?
We went straight after the wedding, starting in Cape Town, then a 3 day safari, a week in Zanzibar and 4 nights in Dubai. Best trip ever!!
Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?
Dont stress over the small things. It honestly all works out in the end and the day goes soooo fast so enjoy every minute! Our wedding car was 30 minutes late and I was panicking, but everyone expected me to be late anyway and the day was still perfect!
