Megan - A romantic day at Mytton Fold!
8th March 2024
My proposal story
My partner surprised me with a trip to York to mark the end of my maternity leave. We checked into the hotel and it was full of flowers and a bottle of champagne and I turned round he was on one knee with a ring!
Wedding style
Our wedding was at Mytton Fold, its a bright, modern venue so wanted everything to compliment that. I wanted it to look romantic with lots of florals and candles.
Shopping experience
I found dress shopping quite stressful as I liked most things I tried on! It was really hard picking a silhouette as there is so much choice!
How did you choose 'The One'?
My best friend and bridesmaid actually picked my dress out for me to try. It was just very me, suited the romantic vibe I was going for. The first dress I actually could picture walking down the aisle in which felt like me.
Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal
I had a great experience, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I loved the big rooms with the big mirrors. The whole experience was great from picking my dress right through to collecting it.
What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?
I was really nervous about walking down the aisle but that was one of my favourite bits, seeing my partners face at the end all teary and all our loved ones
If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?
We went to Malta!
Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?
Overall people remember weddings for the atmosphere so Id focus budget and attention on entertainment rather than little bits other people probably wont notice!
