My proposal story

It was in Venice which is my favourite city. Wed found a quiet spot that overlooked the city to watch the sunset the first time we visited. He proposed in the exact same spot two years later!

Wedding style

We got married at Alberts in Standish. Our theme was neutrals and we wanted something relaxed, simple and beautiful! Our Border Terrier Pablo was our ring bearer.

Shopping experience

I absolutely loved shopping for wedding dresses. We made it into a girls day each time! On the day I got my wedding dress I threw a blue themed brunch and asked my sisters and auntie to be my something blue.

How did you choose 'The One'?

I was torn between two styles that I loved. When I found the one it was a complete mix of the two and as I walked out of the dressing room, Ed Sheeran Perfect started playing on the radio which is our wedding song. Our stylist even called it the Ed Sheeran dress by the end of our appointment!

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

I had a lovely experience at Emma Louise Bridal! We had a glass of champagne while I tried the dresses on and the stylist let me FaceTime my best friend (and Maid of Honour) who was living in Dubai. I got a lovely polaroid when I said Yes to the Dress which is proudly displayed in my office.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

I loved every moment. My favourite memory has to be my husband, who was very confused why I got him a handkerchief and was adamant he wouldnt cry when he read out his personal vows!

It was also such a lovely feeling having everyone we loved in the same room all day and night. I changed into a short dress in the evening and had a party entrance which completely changed the vibe and everyone danced the night away!

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We had our honeymoon straight after the wedding and went to the South of France and Italy. It was absolutely amazing and kept us in our wedding bubble! We booked a second honeymoon for a couple of months later to snap us out of the post-wedding blues.

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Dont rush it! Take your time with planning and enjoy every minute. Plan lots of little get-to-togethers in the run up to the wedding like bridesmaid brunches and date nights. On the big day take a big look around and try to soak it in as it will absolutely fly by! And finally, the little details youre worrying about wont matter. You will be too busy having the best day of your life.
