My proposal story
We were in Australia for another wedding where my husband was best man and he took me to the Blue Mountains, somewhere which was own our must do list for the trip. My husband proposed at a secluded lookout point overlooking the Blue Mountains and the Three Sisters.
Having that time to ourselves where we couldnt tell friends and family because of the time difference meant we savoured the moment.
Wedding style
Hyde Bank Farm in Romiley, a converted barn with the ceremony and reception both at the venue. The theme was rustic and of course being engaged in Australia, eucalyptus featured in all the flowers and table decorations.
Shopping experience
Exciting, calm and relaxed.
How did you choose 'The One'?
I knew how I wanted to feel in the dress but not the dress that would make me feel that way. The one was comfortable, allowed me to move freely and wasnt too heavy and I knew straight away that I would enjoy wearing it all day.
Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal
I had seen a dress which I thought was the one. I knew that Emma Louise Bridal stocked this dress and other designers which I liked. When I got to the appointment I made a beeline for that dress while Hattie and Holly picked out a selection of dresses for me to try too. Hattie picked a dress out for me which I wasnt sure about but when I tried it on I loved it. Hattie knew the one for me without me really knowing what I was looking for.
What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?
The laughter and smiles from the day, I dont think we have laughed and smiled so hard ever.
Feeling like a princess for the day, it makes me so sad that the dress wont be worn again.
Having all our friends and family in one place and having a day to remember with them.
If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?
We are honeymooning next year for our first year anniversary roadtripping across Canada. It something we have wanted to do for a while and are so excited already!!
Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?
Dont listen to other peoples opinions of what you are doing for your day. Do what feels right for you both, the only opinions which matter are your own.
