My proposal story

We went on an amazing luxury holiday to Sandals in Jamaica late November 2019. Our butlers had decorated our room every day for the two weeks we were there but with just a couple of days to go they set up our room with fairy lights, petals, ran a bath and poured champagne. It was then Chris decided to pop the question! It was an easy yes! He had two rings as he wasnt sure on the size, both of which were temporary but amazing and had done that so we could go ring shopping together when we got home for the real thing! It was perfect.

Wedding style

We chose Merrydale Manor. We had a beautiful, classic but personal ceremony and decor with a neutral theme and colours with pops of rose gold and navy.

Shopping experience

Id struggled with wedding dress shopping before coming to Emma Louise. Id visited 5 different shops and tried on nearly 40 dresses but every experience made me feel uncomfortable and not beautiful or bridal. Coming to Emma Louise was completely different, I felt at ease and picked the first dress I tried on!

How did you choose 'The One'?

I knew as soon as I put it on. I didnt feel too heavy or big and felt like I was l looking pretty for the first time.

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

Amazing. Chloe was brilliant in giving me confidence that I could wear things that I didnt think possible and helped me find the one in my first dress! I still tried on 4 more but I knew the first was my dress.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Having my amazing photographer Lynsay and make up artist Faye getting me dressed made me feel a million dollars. They made that time so special. Then seeing my mum and dad for the first time made me cry and seeing Chris for the first time waiting for me at the end the aisle. It was a magical feeling when I got to meet him finally.

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We went to Barbados, another sandals resort as a nod to our engagement. It was perfect in every way!

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Dont get in your head about wedding dress shopping. Emma Louise Bridal will absolutely help you get over anything youre worried about.
