My proposal story

It all happened in the kitchen. We had the family over for father-in-laws birthday. Matthew (husband) said that Greig (father-in-law) had learned a new magic trick at work so he wanted to do it on me. Told me to close my eyes, then left, right, all the way round, etc. Next, I had to put my arms out and do all these other things then opened my eyes and Matthew was there on one knee. Perfect.

Wedding style

Barn, rustic, beautiful, navy blue bridesmaids, stone suits, pale flowers and lots of greenery.

A wonderful experience from beginning to end.

How did you choose 'The One'?

It was the first dress I tried on. Completely the opposite to what I was thinking and what Id been thinking for years.

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

Felt so welcome, my nerves disappeared as soon as I met Hattie at my first appointment. Hattie asked about what I wanted, she found me multiple dresses in that theme and some that were completely different. Hattie obviously knew better than me because I just fell in love straight away.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Walking down the staircase into the Threshing Hall, all eyes were on me (which I thought I would hate) but I just felt beautiful and so so confident.

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We are off to Florida and California. Mainly for Disneyworld and Universal but also some grown up things too.

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Stay calm, chill and just enjoy it all. On the wedding day, take a step back and just watch everyone enjoying themselves and just have the most amazing time. You do what you want and dont listen to anyone else.
