My proposal story

I have been with my husband for 12 years in October which made us 14/15 when we first met. We had always dreamed of travelling, so in 2018 we went off around the world. We got to Vietnam and Ryan had planned a boat trip around Ha Long Bay, we spent the day exploring the islands and in the evening we went for a walk along the harbour and thats where Ryan got down on one knee and asked the question. With lots of smiles and tears I said YES!

Shopping experience

Shopping for my wedding dress was exciting, magical and a little bit stressful. I went to 3 shops before going to Emma Louise Bridal. I was starting to stress out when I couldnt find the one.

How did you choose 'The One'?

I tried on around 4 dresses in Emma Louise and when I tried The One on I just knew. I had this overwhelming feeling. All the other dresses I had tried on, once I got changed into the next I couldnt remember what the dress looked like. But the dress I fell in love with I remembered every single detail about it. I tried another dress on after the one and I couldnt stop thinking about the other one. Thats how I knew it was the one.

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

I absolutely loved my experience at Emma Louise Bridal. From the moment I booked my appointment the girls couldnt have been more helpful and supportive. I felt comfortable and nothing was too much for them.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Oh my goodness where do I start? One of my favourite memories was doing a surprise reveal of my dress to my bridesmaids and my dad. I will always remember their reactions. Another favourite memory is when I walked down the aisle I got to Ryan and we were both very emotional and he greeted me with a wow. Another favourite is the wedding breakfast how everyone was up dancing half way through their meal!

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We had our honeymoon, we went back to our favourite places that we visited whilst travelling. They were Dubai, Vietnam and Bali. We went back to Vietnam and did the same trip that we did the day Ryan proposed to me.

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

I would say to all the brides out there try not to stress yourself out at the small things. No body will notice them on the day, the only person who would notice is you but you will be that occupied you wont even care about the candle being in the wrong place haha!
