Becky - A Stunning, Rustic Wedding at Rivington Hall Barn!

My proposal story

My partner was due to propose on the Rockies in Canada in 2020, however due to Covid we never made it so instead on our 4 year anniversary he popped the question on a walk up Rivington! It was still very romantic and very us.

Wedding style

It was a June wedding, very rustic with modern touches and lots of florals. It took place at Rivington Church which is a small church, and it was followed by beautiful reception at Rivington Barn.

Shopping experience

It was so much fun!

How did you choose 'The One'?

I chose the first dress I tried on at ELB, as much as I loved it I knew I needed to try more on to make sure I was sure so I visited a couple more shops but nothing compared to the first dress, so I went to try it again with the veil and accessories and absolutely loved it.

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

It was wonderful, couldnt have asked for more on each appointment/visit! Emma was a great help picking out dresses, the boutique is stunning with a fantastic choice of dresses!

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Getting ready with my girls in the Bridal Dressing Room at Rivington barn, we had food, drinks, music playing it was just so special. Me and my husband writing our own vows to read in church, very emotional but such a special personal thing to do, would recommend!
The speeches!!!! My dad, husband and best man all did fantastic speeches and then just seeing everyone in the evening having such a good time, the dance floor was packed all night.

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We went to Jamaica just after the wedding but took our 20 month old so it wasnt very relaxing so we have booked Santorini in September, CHILD FREE!

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Dont worry too much about the budget, you can worry about that later, if theres something you want, just get it!
Dont scrimp on a videographer and photographer, these are soooo important, once the day is over the photos and videos will be all you have left of the day. Videographer is a must because you miss so much and it goes so quick. Enjoy every second.
