My proposal story

Harry planned to propose in Barcelona in March 2020 however COVID got in the way and disrupted his plans. He couldnt wait to do it any longer so in July 2020 we had been out for a nice meal at our favourite restaurant, we came home and were about to get in the hot tub when he said he needed to do something, at this point he was starkers in the kitchen! Confused and unaware of what was going on, he ran off upstairs only to come back down and get on one knee with no clothes on and asked me to marry him. In 2022 we finally got to do our trip to Barcelona after continuous cancellations and he got back down on one knee in the spot he had originally planned and asked me again.

Wedding style

Classy theme, in tuxedos and the bridesmaids in champagne coloured dresses. Neutrals and gold classy colours throughout the wedding which was beautiful.

Shopping experience

Amazing loved every minute and found the one at the first bridal shop being Emma Louise.

How did you choose 'The One'?

I had a certain styles that I loved and after trying on a few I knew there were certain bits of different dresses that I liked. Then Chloe said she had the perfect one with the different things I liked from the others, and there it was my gorgeous dress. I knew as soon as I put it on that was the one.

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

Amazing from start to finish. All the girls are so lovely, helpful and make you feel very special. From the glass of fizz when you get there to your little gift bag you take home when you say yes. Then when you go back when your dress is ready for your styling appointment, its just the best.

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Seeing my gorgeous husband and my two beautiful sons faces again when I walked down the aisle and how in love we all felt. The day was just perfect, everything I could have wished for the whole experience of the day are memories I will never forget.

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We went on the Monday straight after the wedding to Crete and stayed in the most beautiful hotel, we had the best time.

Do you have any advise for other couples planning their wedding?

Enjoy the build up and the day as it goes SO QUICK. Ignore peoples opinions if they arent keen on something you want or people you dont want there. Its your day and thats all that matters. 100% take some time on your day for you and your husband to just reflect, we did and was the best thing we did.
