Real Bride Rebecca - a wonderful traditional wedding!

Real Bride Rebecca – a wonderful traditional wedding!
My proposal story

He managed to persuade my family to come on holiday with us to the Dominican Republic, then he managed to persuade them all to come scuba diving, where he proposed 15 feet under the Caribbean Sea! He even took the ring underwater! They’d been joking about it all week and I didn’t have a clue!

Wedding style

Traditional, burnt orange theme. We got married at our local church, where I was christened and my mum and dad got married 26 years earlier. Then our reception was at The Mercure at Haydock in the marquee, which was beautiful!

Shopping experience

I had a few bad experiences of going in dress shops that forced me to try on massive, puffy dresses and they were all in tiny sizes. I was so uncomfortable and hating the experience, until I came to Emma Louise Bridal.

How did you choose 'The One'?

I fell in love with my dress, Fern by Stella York, as soon as I put it on!

Tell us about your experience at Emma Louise Bridal

Amber was so helpful! She really listened to the style I was looking for and helped me pick out so many beautiful dresses to try, in realistic sizes too! The alterations process was great too. I felt amazing on the day!

What are your favourite memories from your wedding day?

Walking out of church with massive smiles on our faces! We got a great confetti shot of that moment. And all the little moments when we looked at each other and couldn’t believe it!

If you have a honeymoon planned - where are you going?

We had a mini moon in Chester straight after the wedding, somewhere that holds lots of memories for us as I went to uni in Chester. We’re trying to get away next summer to somewhere like Jamaica.
