"I am so lucky to be the owner of Emma Louise Bridal as I love coming to work!
In 2013 I took the big decision to leave teaching to follow my passion to open a bridal boutique and I am so pleased I did.
From my own experience shopping for my wedding dress I know how important this time in your life is, that is why our brides are not just customers to us, we truly do welcome everyone into the Emma Louise Bridal family. This is always at the heart of what we do and it is something that I feel is truly unique and special.
We love to give brides and their families the very best customer experience in relaxed beautiful surroundings and we understand that getting married is a momentous time for every bride. We really do feel honoured that we are with you every step of the way on this special journey from the moment you book your appointment to find your perfect dress to collecting your special gown just days before your wedding.
I am very proud of the fact that from when we opened in August 2013 we looked to expand in 2017 and how far we have come since then. When we moved to our stunning new larger premises in January 2018 it completed my vision to be able to give brides the perfect bridal experience by being able to offer on-site alterations making your wedding dress journey with us easy, enjoyable and memorable.
I also love the fact that I’m able to share all of this with such an amazing team that I am so very proud of every day. It hardly seems like work when there is so much fun and laughter!
Finally, I would just like to say thank you for taking the time to get to know our team and we all look forward to welcoming you to Emma Louise Bridal."
"I joined the Emma Louise Bridal team in 2016. I am very lucky to be able to say that I absolutely love my job! As someone who is not suited to a ‘desk job’ it’s a dream come true to be able to get to know all of our brides and their families and help them through this incredible wedding journey. Finding the perfect gown is a very personal experience and is different for each bride, I love to be able to use my creative flair to find brides the dress of their dreams that speaks to their individual style.
When I’m not helping future brides find their gown I am planning my own wedding with my fiancé Sean. I love to travel and my days off are spent going for walks in the countryside with our rescue dog, which always end with a roast dinner in the nearest pub!"
"Ever since I can remember I have loved dresses, I was the child found dressing up in my mum’s wedding dress and dreaming of my big day! As I got older that love didn’t fade and I began drawing and designing my own dream dresses; ultimately falling in love with fabrics and sewing.
I was then fortunate enough to work in the costume industry, the perfect fit for the girl who loved dress-up!
I am now lucky enough to come to work and be surrounded by the beautiful dresses that I once dreamed of and drew. I am also lucky enough to call my colleagues friends and love coming to work.
From my own wedding experience, I know how special the big day is and of course how important ‘The Dress’ is. It is such an honour to be able to play even a small part in helping brides create and realise their dream wedding.
When not at work I enjoy days out, travelling and baking a good cake, all with my husband and beautiful, somewhat energetic, little girl."
"I very first started sewing when I was just 17 years old in childrenswear. Sewing is something I have always loved to do, right from being a little girl I would make my dolls’ clothes and my pencil cases for school. However, it is safe to say my sewing work has advanced a lot since those early days!
When I was 20 years old I moved into the bridal industry and worked for two bridal shops before running my own successful alterations business from home. In 2018 I started working for Emma and I love making sure brides’ dresses fit perfectly for their big day.
After over 20 years working with wedding dresses I would say it is the nicest and most skilled area of my field. Altering the dresses is so skilled because the work is so specific and wedding dresses are so intricate with designs that are constantly changing. Sewing is one thing but altering and bespoking a bridal gown is a very different expertise. I find it so rewarding to be able to be part of a bride’s journey and it’s so special to help someone feel so amazing on the best day of their lives.
I have been married to my fantastic husband Ste for 23 years and we have two gorgeous daughters who are getting very grown up now! I love going on family holidays, going out with my friends and walking my dog, Buddy."
Seamstress & Bridal Consultant
"My passion for sewing started when I was younger making dresses for my dolls, with help from my mum.
I found my flare for sewing whilst studying textiles at college and loved creating detailed embroidery pieces. Since then I have studied costume design at university, which equipped me with skills in bespoke dressmaking.
I have enjoyed working in the bridal industry since leaving university and love the chance to work with brides, making sure they feel perfect in their dress on their big day.
When I'm not at work I'm usually found working on craft projects or reading the Harry Potter books, another passion of mine."
"When I first started at Emma Louise Bridal I was coming in once a week on a Saturday to help keep the boutique tidy and greet guests. It has been a dream of mine to work with wedding dresses since I was little, alongside being an astronaut! From the very beginning, I’ve been treated like family from the ELB Team, I love every part of working here.
From coming in on Saturdays I am now the ‘Boutique Assistant’ coming in a regular basis to help with the social media and bridal appointments. I love getting to know our brides and talking to them all about their wedding planning journey.
I am currently completing my A-Levels at college. In my spare time I love reading and listening to my favourite music."
