It was in Rome at Villa Borghese on a little wooden rowing boat. It was the boat no one wanted because the number on the boat was 13 but that’s always been my lucky number so we took that one out with a bottle of Prosecco.
The style I went for was timeless so the colour scheme was white & gold. All the flowers were white roses, gypsophila & white local flowers.
The first shop I went to was Emma Louise Bridal and that’s where I found my dress.
I had a selection of 6 dresses before I went so they would be out waiting for me and my favourite dress out of the 6 is the one I ended up picking.
It was the first and only shop I went to and I was made to feel really comfortable. I enjoyed the whole experience of trying on lots of dresses with a glass of bubbles!
My favourite memories were the Santorini sunset and everyone up on the dance floor.
When everyone left Santorini, we stayed on for another week at a different hotel in the area we got married and had our honeymoon there.
Enjoy it, you’re hopefully only going to do it once so make the most of it and if you’re getting married abroad then use a wedding planner, don’t do it all yourself.
